SYNOPSIS:

In Laramie, Wyoming, on October 7, 1998 Matthew Shepard, a young, gay man, was brutally murdered. Four weeks later, Moises Kaufman and members of the TectonicTheatre Project traveled to Laramie to interview the townspeople. The result is a stunning play which reveals the complex depths and heights of human behavior. Kaufman: “The experience of working on The Laramie Project has been one of great sadness, great beauty, and, perhaps most important, great revelations – about our nation, about our ideas, about ourselves.”
